June News

A quick news roundup, now that we’re into a new month…

Don’t forget that the Awards Program ends on July 15th. Pagan’s eager to see those manuscripts, and I’ll be bundling them up and shipping them out at the end of July. The 15th is the postmark date, but best to try and beat that deadline.

The guidelines, entry form, and FAQ’s can all be found at Sfwpawards.com. But if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me at submissions(at)sfwp.com.

If you’re not in the US, or don’t want to pay by check, we do have an online payment option.

A quick note on the SFWP titles for those of you now addicted to Amazon’s Kindle: All four of our titles are available in that format. Visit our Amazon Storefront for details.

I’ve also been updating a couple of the author webpages. Alan Cheuse has a new book out, A Trance After Breakfast, and you can find information right here. In the next few days, I’ll be adding the press kit and reviews. I’ve also updated his tour schedule for the summer. For those of you in the DC area, he’ll be reading at Politics and Prose on the 13th of June.

Up north, Ray Robertson will be giving us a new title in August. David is a different sort of book for Ray, and, yes, I’m reading it now and loving it. Only available in Canada, it’s my do not miss title this summer. More details at Rayrobertson.com.

Meanwhile, former SFWP employee Kyle Semmel has a new translation available at River and Sound Review. Kyle also blogs for the Writer’s Center in Bethesda, MD.

And, on Art Taylor’s blog, there’s a great interview with Alan about A Trance After Breakfast. Check it out!
